Keiretsu Forum Nordics
Sweden, and especially Stockholm, has a great innovation environment, and to start the first Nordics chapter here was a natural first step. To support local and global ventures by contributing capital, resources, experience and qualifications are keys to a thriving business environment.
The Keiretsu Forum Nordics (KFN) journey begun a few years ago. STOAF (Stockholm Business Angels), an angel investment network in Stockholm, had been in touch with Keiretsu for several years in order to establish a steady contact, and to enable future joint work. During a visit to San Francisco in 2015 when a STOAF-team attended several Keiretsu meetings further discussions concerning a Nordics chapter arose. STOAF verified the potential in the Nordic region and gathered a suitable team in Sweden to launch and build the first chapter in Stockholm. By doing so the Keiretsu international growth continued. The team also visited San Francisco and Prague for further studies of the network, to experience a chapter launch, and to understand the Keiretsu process and way of working. The start up went quick and the first information meetings where held in February (2016) to educate potential members about Keiretsu.
The first Forum meeting were held in March, a successful meeting with representatives for the US present, over 45 investors, and three companies presenting their ventures and ideas. Since then Keiretsu Forum Nordic has successfully had monthly investor meetings in Stockholm. We launched the Nordics chapter because we know that the Nordics has innovative ideas, skills and abilities.
